The Annual RECLAIM the NIGHT Event will be held on FRIDAY OCTOBER 4 on the Town Green in Port between 5.30 and 7pm. Make a Difference and show your support for the Right to Feel Safe. Put on your Walking Shoes, bring the family and friends, Enjoy a Free BBQ, Live Music and Guest Speakers.

Comboyne Gardens – a Spring Garden Walk!

Spend a Spring Sunday in scenic Comboyne! Sunday, 13th October

GARDENS: pick up your map and tickets from the War Memorial Hall. There are 6 country gardens to drive to.  For the village gardens, free parking will be available at the Showground and there will be a courtesy bus doing the village circuit. You may choose to stroll to the 3 village gardens from the Showground.  Tickets also available online & maps to be collected from the Hall.

WAR MEMORIAL HALL: The Hall is the information and exhibition centre – Art, history, quilts, Raw Earth Pottery, Comboyne Avocados & produce to take home.

THE VILLAGE: allow plenty of time for the Tractor Museum on Hill Street, call into Riverstone Treasures for retro & antique treasure, swing by Eclectic & the Curious Plant Man where you will see the home of Raw Earth Pottery Studio & then take in the history & grounds of the old police lockup at Larrikins Lockup where you can purchase stunning locally made timber pieces plus jewellery.  The Museum is a must, 2511 Comboyne Rd & the Community Centre to purchase Comboyne history and cookbooks and handcrafts.

HUNGRY? buy a takeaway sandwich from the Hall, have Devonshire tea at the Museum, try the famous Udder Cow Cafe pie, coffee from Moody Moos at Larrikins Lockup, a pulled pork roll at the Comboyne Public School 100 year celebration and wash it down with a cold drink sitting on the deck at the Ex Services Club from 3pm.

The Port Macquarie-Hastings Homelessness Collective is calling on the local community to help Fill the Pantry at the Horton St HUB where they distribute items to those in need every fortnight. *Donate any type of dry goods, pantry items, toiletries, or non-perishable items.
– Drop off your donations at the following locations in Port:
– Our Place at 140 Horton St.
– New Horizons:  2 Horton St.
– Neami Services: 147 Gordon St.
– Outside the IGA Growers Market on Gordon St.

Soul Sound Music Therapy!
Phoebe Thompson-Star and Soul Sounds Music Therapy have partnered up with the Greater Port Macquarie Dementia Friendly Community Alliance (DFCA).
Every Monday starting from June 17 Registered Music Therapist Phoebe and the DFCA, will host a morning of music, singing, morning tea and making new connections. No experience necessary, and those attending are more than welcome to just sit back and soak in all the wellbeing benefits of music especially for those living with Dementia and Parkinson’s.

TIME: 10am-11.30am
LOCATION: Salvation Army Hall at 110 Lord Street, Port Macquarie.

Self Seen

SELF SEEN is a local organisation specifically for men struggling with mental health. All men are welcome to go for a BBQ Breakfast, Beach Walk and some healthy conversations with other blokes every Sunday from 7am at Shelly Beach in Port and at Rainbow Beach in Bonny Hills. Break the Cycle, Recycle!

Would you support a person with a disability?

Our program is designed to do just that by filling up one of our bins with

return and earn items, you can help provide meaningful activity and a little
extra cash for a person with a disability whilst contributing to the recycle
efforts of the community.
No cost to you, we provide the bin and collection, all you need to do is fill
it up.

The HELLO KOALAS Gallery and Gift Shop is now located at the Blackbutt Road Business Centre, in the Port Industrial Area, just off Lake Rd. Open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. That’s where you can buy New Hello Koala Trail Maps, T-Shirts, Toys, Bags, Diaries and so much more.

Rotary Club Donations

The Rotary Club of Port Macquarie West Inc. is now seeking your
donations of new or near new blankets, beanies, scarves,
jumpers, socks, gloves and other warm items for our homeless
and those doing it tough. Donations will be distributed to YP
SPACE MNC, Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse,
Liberty Domestic & Violence, Family Violence Specialist Services, Port
Macquarie-Hastings Homelessness Collective and others
organisations in our community. Donation Points: Endeavour
Clubhouse, Leslie Williams Office @ 23/15 Chancellor’s Drive,
Port Macquarie or with Rotary at the monthly The Foreshore
Market.

Mid North Coast Fire Museum

The Mid North Coast Fire Museum is open every week Wednesday to Saturday for a few hours each day at 12 Stevens St in Port. ENTRY is FREE!
